Typical Trapiche Tour
This educational experience hosted by a local Costa Rican family combines the chance to see sugar cane, coffee, and chocolate production firsthand in an enjoyable tour with products that are part of our culture.
During the tour, you’ll learn about each of the products, including interesting facts about their cultivation and harvesting processes, their history, and characteristics. Then, you'll be able to taste these delicious treats!
This activity focuses on sharing the local perspective on these global industries, and offering a little of the history behind these products to help understand the different types of mills, including manual, water wheel, and oxen mills. And at the finish of the tour, you’ll receive an exquisite Costa Rican tapa and a delicious locally-made beverage.
