Visit to the Orchid Garden

The Orchid Garden is a research and education project for orchid conservation. The garden hosts a vast collection of more than 450 orchids, with each species identified by its common and its scientific name.

Among the orchids of the garden, you will find species endemic to Monteverde and a collection of miniature orchids, including the smallest species in the world. 

This is a very accessible and educational activity, giving you the opportunity to delight in the colors and aromas and colors of these spectacular specimens while you learn about their importance in the ecosystem, along with interesting facts about their reproduction, flowering process, and anatomy.
