Visit to the Frog Pond
This short tour is a visit to the Frog Pond, an exhibit that hosts 28 species of frogs and toads unique to the Costa Rican tropics, and is ideal for families with children. This is a great place to meet the famous “Blue Jeans” and “Red-Eyed” frogs that are known around the world.
The terrariums are closed, made of glass for better observation, recreating the habitat of each species, which thrive in the humid, confined spaces, and comfortably live, grow, eat, and even reproduce in these enclosed habitats.
You will learn about the fascinating metamorphosis and life cycles of these frogs, how they eat and survive out in nature, and get to see these incredible species up close behind the safety of the terrarium glass. In addition, the terrariums are indoors, which makes the tour an excellent option for a rainy day, and it has an excellent location close to most hotels in the area.
