Would you like to participate in an educational tour where you can learn about the Costa Rican butterflies, their behavior, defense mechanisms, and feeding habits? The Butterfly Garden is a project created over 30 years ago to do exactly that, and show visitors the importance of conserving different species of insects and other arthropods.

Around 40-50 species of butterflies and arthropods breed at this site throughout the year, and with your guide you’ll visit three different environments hosting different species of butterflies. 

This is an activity recommended for families with children, though visitors of all ages will appreciate the magic of wandering a garden filled with colorful butterflies.
