Typical Costa Rican Cooking Class

In this educational and cultural activity, you will experience the typical Costa Rican cuisine while sharing the hospitality of a welcoming local cook's family home.

The cook will share her best secrets, techniques, and recipes for lunch dishes or afternoon coffee, and before long you’ll have all of the steps you need to cook like a Costa Rican. The class is in Spanish, to help interested individuals learn phrases and traditions that intertwine with typical cooking. If required, an interpreter may join to translate the class into English.

Classes adjust to the needs or dietary preferences of the participants, and this is an interactive activity where you will be part of the entire process, from mixing the ingredients to making and tasting the dish.
