Monteverde Cloud Forest
Biological Reserve Night Hike
The Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve is one of the most important reserves in the country and is known for the conservation efforts and scientific research that take place there. Its geographical, topographical, and climatic conditions are incredibly rare, and foster an astonishing level of biodiversity found in very few places on earth. During this tour, a night visit to the cloud forest, you will have the opportunity to learn about the area's biological diversity from a different perspective.
During the night, many species that are hidden during the day emerge and remain active, increasing the chance of sighting different insects, birds, and even nocturnal mammals.
In addition, part of the experience for this night hike centers around the impact of exploring the imposing forest and all its secrets after dark, listening to the calmness and sounds of nature, and taking in the scents and sensations all around you.
Important Notes:
- We limit tours to a maximum of 9 participants per guide for better enjoyment.
- Entrance to the reserve can be delayed certain times of year subject to the load capacity of the reserve.
- Encountering wildlife is not guaranteed. Exploring the reserve with your guide will give you the best chance to spot some of the many species that inhabit the cloud forest, but ultimately you are venturing into the natural habitat of wild animals, whose behavior is impossible to predict with certainty.
